A Better Bread Proofer
My device is meant to help home bakers accurately assess volume growth. A small, "trial" piece of dough (that will rise at the same rate as the rest of the dough) is meant to be put into the cylindrical body of my product. As the dough rises upward, the top wall of the container will move with the dough's expansion to represent volume growth as a change in the plunger's height. With an accurate assessment of the volume growth of the dough, a home baker can avoid under- or over-proofing their dough and significantly improve the texture of their final loaf.
